of scars and metal

[Cloud and Edith were dating in all but words themselves. He had gotten use to the lack of terminology coming to understand how unnerving it was for her to her. Things are steady enough, some bumps and dips in the road when certain aspects of their personalities clashed, but overall they got along well. Something about two ex-soldiers hit it off well despite the major differences in their services.

Her scars are physical as they are mental, his own more the latter than former. He has some lasting scraps, but he is still whole missing nothing other than his memories and those were replaced with retellings from those who'd been there.

Intimacy became a touchy subject, perhaps more so than admitting they were dating. Her metal limbs didn't bother him. Metal is familiar, it's cold and usually smooth surface something he's dealt with for the greater part of his life. He doesn't mind them or the scars and he's done his best to communicate that point.

They'd been intimate somewhat. Nothing long and drain out, but heavy and hot when need pushed thoughts and insecurities away. Most of her body is mapped or he likes to think so. Like her scars, her size doesn't matter to him. It's tough to walk on the egg shell of how small she is, something Cloud finds cute. He can lift her, hold her, and act the larger spoon with ease and when she lets him.

Tonight is different. An hour or so earlier there was drinking and flirting to the best of either of their abilities.  A few kisses become making out and then it's a hot weighted need that can't get ignored.

How are you feeling? [Careful, very careful in how fast they're going. His hands are on her arms and sleeves from behind. The door hadn't shut before he was upon her, lips taking her ear and hands moving across her sides. It's been a few minutes, less shoes, and the bedroom laying before them.]

We don't have to...if you're not up for it. [So long she's going along for herself, he's fine with continuing. Very fine with it.]
